Over the past several months we’ve seen some fantastic new business class products introduced, including from All Nippon Airways, British Airways, and Virgin Atlantic. In mid-2019, All Nippon Airways, which offers direct flights to Tokyo from nine different U.S. cities, rolled out new first- and business-class cabins designed by famed Japanese architect, Kengo Kuma. ANA’s new The Room business class is arranged in a standard 1-2-1 staggered configuration, and the sheer amount of space dedicated to each seat is truly impressive.

Another brand new seat design for ANA is found in the Business Class cabin, with 64 seats across three separate sections in a 1-2-1 configuration, featuring direct aisle access for all passengers. This caught many of us off guard for a couple of reasons: I wasn’t aware that ANA was even working on a new first & business class product; while other airlines hype new products for years, they announced this just weeks before it entered service ANA operates an exceptionally premium-heavy configuration on this route — while most planes have economy cabins occupying more than half of the aircraft, the opposite is true with this particular 777-300ER.

These 787 seats are against the window, with the tray area toward the aisle. In space alone, this seat blows Qatar’s Qsuite out of the water — and the Qsuite is winner of the TPG Awards for best business class … Filed Under: ANA, Qatar . Written by.
