The Food Additive Status List omits certain categories of additives. The EU list – which informs food industry operators which additives can be used in food as well as how much of them and for which purposes – takes account of five years of EFSA’s scientific advice, resulting in the removal of some additives and some of their uses from the market. The substances below are the designated additives appearing in Table 1, as mentioned in Article 12 of the Enforcement Regulations under Article 10 of the Food Sanitation Act.
