The Gold Label here in Canada is $74.99 and it's a very good whisky I liked it a lot and would buy it again. However, from what I read, the gold coloured Johnnie Walker Aged 18 Years is the exact same whisky as the Johnnie Walker Platinum was. The bottling code on my 200ml bottle of Johnnie Walker Gold starts with L4, which I understand to mean it was bottled in 2004. I have not tried the Gold Label Reserveyet. Green Label, unlike all of the other Walkers, is actually a blended malt composed of (unsubstantiated) 27 different single malts, all at least 15 years (or, more likely, exactly 15 years) of age. The penultimate release in Johnnie Walker’s series of standard editions is Platinum Label. I am wondering what is better between Johnnie Walker "Green Label" or "Gold Label".

But the Platinum Label is just so much better in every conceivable way.
So basically, both the Gold Reserve and Platinum are blended malt whiskies. My bottle was purchased in 2017, after the renaissance of the label. From the look of the box and bottle to the smell and the taste.
Now I love Johnnie Walker Blue and that's my whisky of choice. I have a question for all of you in the forum.
OR , for the same price is there Scotch that is a lot better?
